Conference on Friday 13 May 2022

2022 is the annus mirabilis for John Paul I. On the occasion of his upcoming beatification in St. Peter's on September 4, the John Paul I Vatican Foundation -in collaboration with the Department of Dogmatic Theology of the Pontifical Gregorian University- promoted a Study Day on his Magisterium entitled, "The Six 'We Want'. The Magisterium of John Paul I in the Light of Archival Papers."

The Foundation's Scientific Committee, on the basis of the documents of the Albino Luciani Private Archive, through careful philological work, edited and printed the first critical edition of the texts and speeches delivered by John Paul I during the 34 days of his Pontificate. On this occasion, along with the critical edition with the complete synopsis of the speeches written and delivered and the transcriptions of Pope Luciani's autograph diary and personal notepad, the papers from his Private Archive and the preview of the documentary on John Paul I by Rai Vaticano were presented for the first time.

The Study Day took place throughout the day on Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Aula Magna of the Pontifical Gregorian University (Piazza della Pilotta, 4 - Rome).
