The complete list of works by Albino Luciani is published in John Paul I. Biographia ex documentis (Vatican City 2020). To be found in the 75 pages (from page 877 to page 952) are all the edited writings as collected and catalogued in the research project in view of the drawing up the Positio.
Detailed in this list are 15 volumes (plus the Opera omnia edited between 1988-1989) and 61 brochures.

Among these 299 are recorded in the «Bollettino ecclesiastico della diocesi di Vittorio Veneto» (Ecclesiastical bulletin of the diocese of Vittorio Veneto) and 440 in the «Rivista diocesana del Patriarcato di Venezia» (Diocesan Review of the Patriarchate of Venice). The prelate's two interventions at the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council fall within this calculation.
Also contained in the Volume are: 148 articles published by «L'Azione», diocesan weekly of Vittorio Veneto, 108 works edited in part by «La Voce di San Marco», catholic weekly of Venetians and as from December 1975 by «Gente Veneta», weekly magazine of opinion and information of the diocese of Venice. Furthermore as Patriarch of Venice, Albino Luciani wrote 12 articles for «L'Osservatore Romano», 31 for «Il Gazzettino», 52 for the «Messaggero di Sant'Antonio», the latter included in part in the volume Illustrissimi. The list ends with another 44 miscellaneous publications and finally quotes 116 articles published between 1933 and 1956, not signed but attributed to Luciani by an 'ad hoc' research team.
